Dylan Osteen, 37, of Altamont, died at 11:20 a.m., Monday, September 14, 2026 at his home.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1-4 p.m., Saturday, November 7, 2026 at the Pearson Building, Lake Sara. There will be a prayer followed by sharing of memories of Dylan beginning at 2 p.m. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Dylan was born on Monday, January 16, 1989 in Effingham to Roy Osteen and Jody Priess. He was employed at Cracker Barrel.
He is survived by; his father; Roy Osteen, Effingham; mother, Jody Priess, Altamont; grandmother, Vicki Osteen, Effingham; sisters, Brittany Osteen, Altamont and Haley Koeberlein, Stewardson; cousins, Jesse Purgerson, Altamont and Lance Priess, Dieterich; aunts and uncles, Eddie (Ursula) Priess, Altamont, Lynn Quick, Altamont, Bobbi Osteen, Altamont, Justin (Brooke) Osteen, Altamont and Jennifer (Mike) McCoy, Rockford, IL; many cousins; nieces, Callyn Dye, Lainey, Riley and Letti Murphy; significant other, Brittany Lowe, Altamont.
He was preceded in death by; grandfather, Dennis Osteen; grandparents, Maggie and Harold Priess; and uncle, Randy Quick.
