(Springfield, IL) — Illinoisans are getting back some money thanks to the state’s cryptocurrency regulations. The Pritzker administration announced more than 450 refund requests have been submitted to crypto companies since August last year, resulting in over 750-thousand dollars in returns. That’s an average of more than 16-hundred dollars per refund. State regs require digital asset kiosk operators to provide financial relief to victims of cryptocurrency scams and fraud.
