Randall ‘Rudy’ Hovis, 67, of Altamont died at 4:15 p.m., Thursday, October 15, 2026 at his home.
According to Randall’s wishes, there will be no services. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Randall Glen Hovis was born on Tuesday, January 20, 1959 in Effingham, Illinois to Harold Hovis and Rose (Higgs) Williams. He was a retired carpenter and worked for Hubert Smith for many years.
He is survived by; his daughters, Amanda Hovis, Watson and Maranda (Jake) Hovis, Watson; granddaughter, Keja (Jonathon) Hovis, Louisville; great granddaughter, Wrenley Hovis, Louisville; great grandson, Maddux Prather, Louisville; his boy Mater; siblings, Albert (Sharon) Higgs, Altamont, Jim (Lana) Hovis, Altamont, Virgil Hovis, Altamont, Gary (Mary) Hovis, Cowden, Charles Williams, Reba Hovis, Teutopolis, Joyce Williams, Findlay, Lynn (Paul) Pugsley, Cowden, and Christine Donaldson, Effingham.
He was preceded in death by; his parents; great granddaughter, Azlyn Kollman; siblings, Jerry Hovis, Tonya Cathey and Scott Williams.
