The National Road Interpretive Center is a museum right next to City Hall in downtown Vandalia. And, many locally may not know that much about what they do at the museum. Jerry Swarm talks about what they have at the National Road Interpretive Center and what they can offer.
And, he points out the National Road wasn’t much of a road in Illinois when it first got started.
The National Road Interpretive Center is at 106 S. 5th Street in Vandalia. You can also call them at 618-283-9380, visit their website at https://vandalianationalroad.org/home-1673 or find them on Facebook.
