Whiteside Co Sheriff’s Office Sgt Resigns Over Possible Misuse Of Flock System By Deputy

(Whiteside Co., IL) — A Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant is resigning over the possible misuse of the Flock camera system by a deputy. Sheriff John Booker says an internal investigation has been completed. The probe showed the sergeant used automated license plate reader data for personal purposes. Booker says he moved to terminate the sergeant, but the resignation came before the disciplinary process was complete. The case has been referred to Illinois State Police for further review.
