(Monee, IL) — Governor Pritzker isn’t going to pursue a moratorium on new data centers in Illinois. Pritzker says he is still waiting for state lawmakers to pass a data center bill after the November election.
The governor says the POWER Act will place tough regulations on the facilities. His comments came after Mayor Brandon Johnson proposed a data center moratorium for Chicago this week.
