The Vandalia Police Department will have a scheduled phone outage on Tuesday, September 22, beginning around 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. and lasting approximately four to five hours.
During this time, VPD administrative phone lines will be unavailable while 911 call-taking equipment is moved to the department’s new IT room.
911 service will not be interrupted. All 911 calls will be rerouted to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.
