The City of Vandalia had to deal with a water leak late in the day this past Friday that ended up leading to a boil order throughout the weekend that covered some businesses and restaurants in the community.
Speaking on our podcast, “Talking About Vandalia,” Mayor Doug Knebel explains what happened on Friday afternoon/evening that led to the situation.
And, he says they all worked hard to get it taken care of as quickly as possible. But, it was late on a Friday–which meant a slow up on getting some of the issues taken care of quickly, such as the boil order.
In the end, the water samples went in first thing Monday and the the boil order was lifted early in the day on Tuesday.
