We are now one week from Labor Day—meaning this upcoming weekend is Labor Day Weekend. And, that means a couple of area festivals will kick into gear.
Patoka Fall Festival will run from Friday, September 4th through Sunday, September 6th. Friday will include their carnival starting at 5 pm and “Bump and Run” at the Arena at 6 pm. Saturday will start with the Parade at 11 am with all military veterans serving as the Grand Marshal for this year. Lunch will be from 12 pm to 1:30 pm with the carnival opening at 1 pm. The Demo Derby will be at 7 pm on Saturday night.
St. Elmo Labor Day Weekend will have events going on beginning Friday from 6 pm to 9 pm with Kickoff Night on the Square with music from the Hip Huggers. There will be activities throughout the day and evening on Saturday and Sunday. Monday will include the annual breakfast at the Firehouse from 6 am to 9 am and the Labor Day Parade at 1o:30 am Monday. There will be more activities going on throughout the day and evening on Monday.
