
A Hillsboro man is facing sexual abuse charges in Fayette County Court.
48 year old Kenneth L. Knetzer, Junior has been charged in Fayette County Court with Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse–which is a Class 1 Felony, and Criminal Sexual Abuse–which is a Class 4 Felony. Information on the first charge states that on or about August 12th of this year, Knetzer, Junior–a person who held a position of trust, authority, or supervision–is alleged to have committed an act of sexual conduct with an individual who is 11 years old at this time. Information on the charge goes on to state the defendant is alleged to have knowingly touched the victim’s breast.
Knetzer, Junior appeared in Fayette County Court on Tuesday. The Court granted the state’s motion to deny pre-trial release. Information from the court says they found that proof is evident the defendant is alleged to have committed a detainable offense and that the defendant poses a specific threat to the alleged victim as he allegedly committed the sex offense while in a position of authority.
Knetzer, Junior remains in the Fayette County Jail. He will make his first appearance with counsel on September 15th at 10 am.
