A second individual has been arrested in connected to the August 10th burglary on a Solar Construction site in rural Vandalia.
Last week, 30 year old Mark R. Heath of Marshall was charged in Fayette County Court with Burglary and Theft of over $10,000. Both of those charges are Class 2 Felonies. Heath was released from custody and does require GPS Electronic Monitoring. He will next appear in court with counsel on September 16th at 9 am.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office on Monday reported that 33 year old Brian J. Bray of Marshall was taken into custody over the weekend. They stated the Bray was being held in the Clark County Jail, awaiting transfer to Fayette County. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office said they expected Bray to be transferred to Fayette County later on Monday and to either be before a judge in Fayette County court Monday after or sometime today.
The two arrests are in connection with the burglary that was discovered on Monday, August 10th at the Knobelsdorff Enterprises Solar Construction at 470 E 1550 Avenue in Vandalia. Among the items taken in the robbery included copper wire, multiple Milwaukee Tools and some other personal items belonging to employees. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was able to obtain camera footage from the construction site, issued a Crime Watchers Alert and thanked the public for their assistance with tips on the matter. They also added they were able to locate and retrieve most of the items that were taken during the burglary.
