We will see one more hot and humid day today.
We do have a chance of showers and thunderstorms today, but otherwise partly sunny skies with a high of 90 and heat index values as high as 103. Then, a chance of showers and storms tonight with a low of 71. We are under a Heat Advisory until 9 pm.
Meanwhile, we have a chance of severe storms this afternoon and this evening. The National Weather Service in St. Louis says scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to redevelop late this afternoon and last through the evening hours. A few of these storms may be strong to severe between roughly 4 and 10 PM. Damaging winds and locally heavy rainfall are the main threats, along with the possibility of a brief, weak tornado or two.
