(Gibson City, IL) — The Illinois State Police are investigating a deadly school bus crash Near Gibson City. Authorities say troopers responded to a crash on Saturday morning on Route Nine at one-thousand East Road when a passenger car was hit by a bus after failing to yield at an intersection. One person in the car died, while three others suffered injuries. The Hoopeston School District bus was carrying 20 students on the Hoopeston Middle School softball team. All of the students were sent to the hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
