Candidates for City of Vandalia Alderman may start circulating their petitions later this month, One Alderman says he will not seek another term

Candidates for City of Vandalia Alderman may begin circulating petitions later this month for the April 6th, 2027 Consolidated Election.  But, one Alderman says he will not be seeking another term.

Ward 1 Alderman Ken Hubler said recently on social media he was not seeking another term and he spoke with I70 Media about that decision after Monday’s meeting.

So, the seat for Ward 1 Alderman is now an open seat for the April race.  There are also seats up for election in Ward 2 (seat currently held by Russ Stunkel), Ward 3 (seat currently held by Bob Bowen) and Ward 4 (seat currently held by Bret Brosman).

Candidates may start circulating their petitions on August 25th.  The filing period is then from November 16th through November 23rd.
