
It looks like our run of dry days may come to an end.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely for today this afternoon, as before that we’ll see mostly sunny skies for today with a high of 89. Then, a chance of showers and storms tonight with a low of 73. We will see much the same scenario on Friday afternoon.
The National Weather Service in St. Louis says temperatures will rise into the 80s and 90s today with peak heat indices around 100 degrees in the warmest locations that remain dry. Afternoon thunderstorms are possible just about anywhere, though the highest chances (60-70%) will be south of I-70 today and east of I-55 Friday.
