(Chicago, IL) — Governor Pritzker is firing back at President Trump over his comments about weekend gun violence in Chicago. Pritzker was asked yesterday about a social media post in which Trump asked why the governor wasn’t calling him for help after a Juneteenth holiday weekend that included a mass shooting.
Pritzker blasted the president, saying he hired an unqualified company to paint the reflecting pool and didn’t know that the Strait of Hormuz could be closed by Iran. The governor did say he was “deeply concerned” about the safety of Illinois residents.
