(Springfield, IL) — Governor Pritzker is open to calling a special session in Springfield to put together a stadium bill for the Bears. Pritzker says the team needs to figure out how they can get the state legislature to agree on the same measure. The governor noted that the Bears have been making calls to him and other legislators. He also pointed out that the team made some “fumbles” over the years that have hindered Springfield from moving a bill forward. His comments come after the Bears announced last week that they are planning to advance their stadium project in Hammond, Indiana.
