Meanwhile, showers and storms come into the area early Monday morning and are expected to linger until about noon on Monday.
The National Weather Service in St. Louis says strong to severe thunderstorms are possible generally along and west of the Mississippi River late this afternoon into early evening, and again overnight tonight. A few storms will be capable of producing hail up to around 1 inch and wind gusts up around 60 mph. Some storms could also produce locally heavy rain. But, it does look like that any chance of severe weather may stay off to our west.
