When it comes to area gas prices, Vandalia’s prices are in line with other area communities or a little cheaper in some instances.
According to GasBuddy.com, Vandalia’s gas prices range from $4.55 per gallon to $4.65 per gallon as of this morning. Effingham’s prices are the cheapest with their prices ranging from $4.47 to $4.59.
As for other area communities–
Salem ranges from $4.74 to $4.81
Greenville ranges from $4.69 to $4.79
Pana all prices are $4.77
The cheapest gas in the state is actually in Davis Junction, Illinois at $4.26 per gallon. That is a village in Ogle County and is a nearly 4 hour drive straight north from Vandalia.
