(Springfield, IL) — An investigation is underway after the Stratton Building and the Illinois State Museum was placed on lockdown. The Secretary of State’s Office says Secretary of State Police identified a suspicious device yesterday morning in the parking lot of the Capitol Complex. A lockdown was issued for the Stratton Building and the Illinois State Museum. Both buildings were deemed safe and the Capitol complex was reopened.
