The Vandalia School Board took care of a handful of personnel items at its monthly meeting held on Thursday night. With five of seven members present for the meeting, the board approved the resignations of Maintenance Director Josh Bogart, effective May 15, and Maintenance Assistant Mike Callahan and approved the employment of Chris Durbin as the new Maintenance Director. The board also approved the employment of Abby Goeckner as Summer Custodian for 4 days a week and the employment of Ryan Northrop as a Custodian and Bus Drive starting June 2. The final personnel matter handled was the approval of maternity leave for Molly Reeter.
