A favorite Vandalia event is set to return to downtown Vandalia this summer, kicking off one month from today. The Grande Levee will be held on Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20 on the lawn of the Vandalia Statehouse. Vandalia Economic Development and Tourism Director Amber Daulbaugh says that she and Vandalia Statehouse Site Superintendent Kim Lake and the Vandalia Historical Society are all really trying to enhance this year’s event.
A favorite event will be kicking off Grande Levee as the Vandalia Historical Society will host the Ham & Beans Dinner.
And Saturday will feature vendors, entertainment, and activities for all ages on the Statehouse lawn.
Saturday events will be held from 10:00am to 4:00pm and admission is free. Along with the special farmer’s market, the Grande Levell will also include live music and entertainment, blacksmith and artisans, a petting zoo and kids activities, foods trucks, vendors and more.
