Showers & Storms Today–Isolated Severe Severe Storms possible this afternoon/evening

We are looking at showers and thunderstorms for today with a chance for an isolated severe storm this afternoon and this evening.

Our forecast for today calls for showers and thunderstorms with a high of 79.  Winds from the southwest will gust better than 20 miles per hour today.  Then, a chance of a shower or storm tonight with a low of 63.

Meanwhile, isolated severe storms are possible later on today.  The National Weather Service in St. Louis says showers and thunderstorms will move across the area through this evening. Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and this evening, capable of producing large hail and damaging winds.
