City of Vandalia hopes to see some siltation work take place this summer at Vandalia Lake

It looks like this summer will see the first cover undergo siltation work at Vandalia Lake.

Last week, the matter was discussed at the City’s Lake Committee meeting in front of a fairly large group of Vandalia Lake residents. Mayor Doug Knebel says, although the timeline is not fully defined, it does look like they will get to the point of work this summer.

And, while the “bagging” process looks to potentially be the best path economically for the city, Mayor Knebel says there will be a few hurdles to clear.
