The Chicago Bears are looking for infrastructure money from state taxpayers after the Illinois House passed megaprojects legislation this week.
House Bill 910 would freeze property taxes at their current level on the development and add a negotiated special payment.
‘Field of Schemes’ co-author Neil deMause said the Bears could be getting a huge break.
The Bears previously requested $887 million for infrastructure, but deMause said it could be more.
The Illinois Senate is expected to consider the megaprojects bill next week.
