We get one more day of sunshine before rain and storms will set in.
Today we are looking at sunny skies with a high of 79. Then, we are looking at increasing clouds for tonight with a low of 61. Showers and storms will come into the area beginning early Friday morning and stay with us throughout the day on Friday.
Meanwhile, there is a chance of a strong to severe storm early Friday morning—but the severe storms may stay to our west. The National Weather Service in St. Louis says that thunderstorms may develop over the eastern Plains late this afternoon and this evening and move into Missouri Illinois tonight. They add that severe storms over Kansas and western Missouri will quickly lose intensity over central and eastern Missouri. The latest timeline puts storms arriving in our area after 2 am but, as of this time, it looks as if the severe storms will stay off to our west.
