(Decatur, IL) — An investigation is underway after a man armed with a crossbow was shot by police in Decatur. Police say officers were called out yesterday morning to the 300 block of East William Street on a report of a person with a gun. Officers chased a male suspect into a building in the 400 block of East William Street. There they located him pointing a crossbow at the officers. Officers opened fire, hitting the suspect multiple times. He was sent to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.
