
The Fayette County Board on Thursday night, approved a proclamation recognizing April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month. LaDonna Koeberlein and Traci Baucum of the Sexual Assault and Family Emergencies (SAFE) office in Vandalia were on hand for the meeting and gave an overview of work that they do including numbers matters addressed by the Vandalia office and also discussed the work they have been doing with education in schools. Board Chairman Jacob Harris read the proclamation out loud before the county board signaled its approval. Vice-Chairman Pat Click also informed those in attendance that the teal ribbons that have seen around Vandalia are in support of the awareness campaign this month as well.
