Two People Killed After Train Hits Vehicle In Carroll County

(Carroll Co., IL) — Two people are dead after a vehicle was hit by a train in Carroll County. Authorities say the crash happened yesterday at a private railroad just off Illinois Route 84, across from the Savanna Tri-Township Airport. An initial investigation indicates that a pickup truck pulling a boat and trailer was crossing the railroad tracks when it was hit. Two people in the pickup were killed. The crash is under investigation.
