
As is expected with an unseasonably warm weather, a cold front will now arrive on Thursday and lead to severe weather striking the area.
The National Weather Service in St. Louis says a cold front is forecast to move through the region on Thursday, with thunderstorms developing along the boundary near or just east of the Mississippi River. A few of these storms may be strong to severe during the late morning/afternoon hours. Damaging winds and isolated tornadoes are the main threats.
According to the latest information from the NWS, the severe storms will hit our area between 1 pm and 3 pm on Thursday afternoon.
