(Arthur, IL) — The remains of a World War Two veteran from central Illinois are now accounted for. The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency announced that U.S. Army Staff Seargent Paul Gregg of Arthur was accounted for in May of last year. Gregg was 29 years old when he was reported missing in action in December 1944 after fighting in the Battle of the Bulge. His remains weren’t located and he was presumed dead. They were identified after being dug up in 2024. Gregg will be buried in Arcola.
