(Springfield, IL) — Governor Pritzker is open to making changes to the SAFE-T Act. Pritzker says he will listen to any possible changes or tweaks that could be made to the law.
The governor added that the SAFE-T Act has been highly effective, noting that crime rates across Illinois have gone down since it was passed. The overhaul of the criminal justice system is most known for eliminating cash bail for criminal defendants awaiting trial.
