We get one more calm day today before there will be some big weather changes.
We are looking at mostly cloudy skies for today with a high of 60. Then, we have a chance of showers tonight with a low of 57.
For Sunday, showers and thunderstorms are likely with a high of 69. There is a chance that we could see severe storms on Sunday afternoon. The National Weather Service in St. Louis says a strong cold front will bring showers to the region on Sunday. There is a 50% chance that there will be enough energy to support thunderstorms. If thunderstorms do develop, a few will likely (70% chance) be capable of producing damaging wind gusts or a brief tornado.
After the cold front moves through, we will be left with much colder temperatures. We’ll see a low of 18 on Sunday night and could see some snow before the precipitation ends. And, then we would just see a high of 25 on Monday.
