
A Pana man is facing multiple felony counts in Fayette County Court after his arrest in connection with an incident that involved a car theft, car crashes and burglary.
34 year old Cole Y. Shoraga is facing a charge of Residential Burglary, which is a Class 1 Felony. Information in the charge states that Shoraga entered a dwelling in rural Ramsey and is alleged to have stolen a vehicle from the attached garage. Shoraga faces a charge of Theft, which is a Class 2 Felony, for allegedly taking the vehicle–which had a value of better than $10,000 but less than $100,000. Shoraga is also facing two counts of Burglary for entering a hunting cabin in rural Herrick. And, Shoraga is also facing a Class A misdemeanor charge of Theft for allegedly taking a Gerber multi-tool and clothing from the cabin.
In an appearance in Fayette County Court on Tuesday, the state’s petition to deny pretrial release was granted and Shoraga will be held in the Fayette County Jail pending trial. In court, it was also disclosed that Shoraga has 6 prior Failure to Appears and is extended term eligible if convicted as he was on parole when he was picked up with the new charges.
Shoraga will next appear in Fayette County Court on January 20th at 10 am.
