The winter storm has arrived to the area.
Our forecast for today calls for snow mixing at times later on today with rain and sleet and we’ll see a high of 37 with 4 to 6 inches of snow possible today.
In their latest Weather Briefing, the National Weather Service in St. Louis says the winter storm is bringing accumulating snow to the area this morning. Meanwhile, they add that there will be lesser snowfall amounts closer to I-70 where the snow will transition from snow to rain quicker from west to east. They add that this corridor will see some hazardous conditions, particularly in Illinois. All of the precipitation is expected to changeover to rain by late this afternoon.
