Rain is on the way to the area.
We have a chance of rain during the day today with a high of 55. Then, a chance of rain for tonight with a low of 50.
Meanwhile, rain is in the forecast throughout the day on Friday and possibly a thunderstorm as well.
The National Weather Service in St. Louis says rain is expected both today and tomorrow, but each day will look a little different. Today’s rain is more likely to feature a narrower corridor of heavier showers and thunderstorms, and mostly across the southern parts of our area. In fact, a lot of areas along the I-70 corridor and farther north will be mostly dry until overnight and Friday, when lighter, steadier rain finally spreads into the rest of the area. We still don’t have significant flooding concerns, but if we do get any, it would likely be minor / nuisance flooding associated with thunderstorms early in the day today.
