The City of Vandalia received their audit report at their meeting on Monday night.
Patricia Elam of Timmermann & Company presented the audit to the Vandalia City Council on Monday night. Elam says it was a good audit report and they give a clean opinion with the audit.
Meanwhile, later in the meeting, City Administrator LaTisha Paslay said it was time for the City to approve their FY ’26 Tax Levy. She said their actuary was recommending an increase of better than $130,000 to the new tax levy. But, Paslay says they were are other funds they can use to close that gap.
So, the City of Vandalia will have no increase in their FY ’26 tax levy and they will vote on it at the next meeting.
Meanwhile, we will look further at the City’s Audit report coming up tomorrow.
