A Vandalia woman is facing 2 Felony charges in Fayette County.
50 year old Jamie J. Baldwin is charged with Unlawful Delivery of a Firearm to a Felon, which is a Class 3 Felony. Information in the charge says that Baldwin allegedly gave a firearm, a Smith and Wesson handgun, to John Shelton, who is a convicted felon. Baldwin is also charged with Obstruction of Justice, which is a Class 4 Felony. Information on that charge states that Baldwin is alleged to have furnished false information to a Police Officer as she allegedly denied purchase of the firearm that she allegedly gave to Shelton, who is a convicted felon.
Meanwhile, Shelton is facing charges of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, which is a Class 1 Felony, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, which is a Class 3 Felony, from a separate matter.
Baldwin was given pre-trial release. And, Baldwin will next be in Fayette County Court for an appearance with counsel on October 14th.
