Vandalia Mayor Doug Knebel gave his word to a group of Vandalia Lake residents that he will move forward with work on siltation issues on Tuesday evening. And, he was moving ahead with some action the next day.
On Wednesday, a large group of Vandalia Lake residents were on hand for the Lake Committee meeting as they are concerned about siltation issues at the lake and the long-term viability of the lake. They was also frustration from those in attendance due to a lack of action taken in the past. Speaking during our weekly podcast “Talking about Vandalia,” Mayor Knebel says there is nothing he can do about the past but is moving forward. And, he says there will be more discussion on this matter at the next Vandalia City Council meeting.
And, Mayor Knebel talks about the Water Shed grant, which will be due next month.
