Boat Races are on their way to Vandalia Lake.
The NBRA Boat Races will be at Vandalia Lake coming up September 5th through 7th. The races were in Centralia this past weekend, so City Administrator LaTisha Paslay and Lake Manager Scott Workman traveled to Centralia to get better prepared for the upcoming races here. Speaking on last week’s podcast “Talking about Vandalia,” Mayor Doug Knebel says this is a great opportunity highlight the area.
Paslay says she has two confirmed food trucks for the boat race weekend and is working on confirming more. As for the schedule, the boaters will be arriving on September 4th and they will do testing from 11 am to 5 pm on Friday, September 5th. Saturday, September 6th will have an hour of testing and then boat racing from 12 pm to 5 pm and racing on Sunday, September 7th from 12 pm to 5 pm.
