Daulbaugh hired as Economic Development/Tourism Director—returning to position she previously held

The person who last held the position of Economic Development Director for the City of Vandalia and the new person to hold that position will be one and the same.

At Monday’s Vandalia City Council meeting, Amber Daulbaugh was hired to be the City of Vandalia’s new Economic Development/Tourism Director.  Daulbaugh held the position from June of 2018 until November of 2021.  And, is in fact the last person to hold the position as it has remained vacant for these past nearly 4 years.  Daulbaugh talks about returning to the position.

And, Mayor Doug Knebel says he’s very pleased to have Daulbaugh coming back to the position.

The hiring of a new Economic Development Director does deliver on one of Mayor Knebel’s campaign promises, along with current work that is underway for a new Economic Development Committee.
