(Du Quoin, IL) — The Grand Marshal of the Du Quoin State Fair Twilight Parade is being unveiled. Governor Pritzker announced Dr. Glenn Poshard will serve as Grand Marshal and the parade’s theme is “Adventure Awaits!” Poshard has over 50 years of public service, serving as the President of Southern Illinois University from 2006 to 2014. He also served more than four-and-a-half years as a state senator in the Illinois General Assembly and ten years in Congress. The Du Quoin State Fair runs from August 22nd to September 1st.
