Third Member of ‘ComEd Four’ Sentenced To Prison

(Chicago, IL) — A third member of the so-called “ComEd Four” is headed to prison. Michael McClain was sentenced yesterday to two years behind bars. McClain, Anne Pramaggiore, John Hooker, and Jay Doherty were all found guilty in 2023 of conspiring to influence and reward former Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan in order to assist with the passage of legislation favorable to the utility. McClain was ordered to report to prison by October 30th. Pramaggiore already received a two-year prison term, while Hooker was sentenced to 18-months. Doherty will learn his fate August 5th.
