We have a chance of a shower or storm this afternoon–but we’ll otherwise be partly sunny today with a high of 86. Then, a chance of showers and storms for tonight with a low of 71.
Meanwhile, there looks to be a threat of severe storms over the area early Saturday morning. In their latest weather briefing, the National Weather Service in St. Louis says severe thunderstorms are possible late tonight into Saturday morning mainly north of Interstate 70, associated with a large thunderstorm complex. The NWS says that damaging winds and locally heavy rainfall are the main threats.
Meanwhile, hotter temperatures and high humidity will settle over the area beginning on Saturday.
