Kaskaskia College has been working towards identifying programs of specific need and recognizing where there is interest at its location centers and looking to possibly move those areas away from the main campus or expand and grow those programs at the education center campuses. For the Vandalia Campus, the EMT/Paramedicine program has been that program and KC has been making expansions and upgrades to the program. KC President George Evans spoke about some exciting new tools for the program during KC’s Community Engagement meeting on Tuesday and afterwards says they recognized the need for emergency services training in Vandalia.
And Evans says they hope to continue the process with other programs and education centers.
One key upgrade made to the EMT/Paramedicine program at the Vandalia Campus that Evans was excited to share about was an ambulance simulator.
