It was a dry and hot weekend up until about 5 pm or so on Sunday afternoon, when a good amount of the area got hit with heavy rains and strong winds.
A cold front brought storms through the area. Fayette County was able to avoid being under a severe storm warning–as those storms slide just to our north and south–but the heavy rains did bring a Flash Flood Warning for the north half of the county.
Meanwhile, some chance of rain will be with us each day throughout this week.
