(Springfield, IL) — Governor Pritzker is threatening to veto any state budget that includes “broad-based” taxes to balance an estimated one-billion-dollar deficit. The governor says he’s opposed to any taxes that would affect working families. Pritzker said he would specifically veto any budget that includes tax increases on individuals, corporations or the sales tax. He also ruled out a sales tax on services.
