(Chicago, IL) — Governor Pritzker is blasting President Trump for imposing tariffs on Canada and Mexico. Pritzker called the tariffs taxes on working families. He adds that they will jack up prices on groceries and goods, make gas more expensive, and raise utility bills. Canada is Illinois’ largest export market, with more than 20-billion-dollars in exports to Canada in 2023. Mexico is Illinois’ second largest export market, with nearly 13-billion-dollars in exports in 2023.
