The Vandalia City Council discussed the idea of having solar installed for the City.
During Monday’s Vandalia City Council meeting, Alderman Bret Brosman and Alderman Andy Lester both spoke of an interest in the City of Vandalia learning more about the possibility of adding solar for the City of Vandalia. Alderman Brosman discussed some more about the possibility of adding a solar project in the City.
Brosman said his own personal solar project at his home has been successful. He does believe the Public Safety Building would be a good location for solar panels and the solar project.
Mayor Gottman and the other City Council members were receptive to the idea. More discussion is expected to take place on the possibility in the coming weeks, likely more in September.
