The predicted severe weather for Wednesday never materialized for our area.
Storms raged in Missouri and deep southern Illinois through a good amount of the day and night and led to tornadoes in some areas. Several damage reports from the severe storms and tornadoes in deep southern Illinois on Wednesday. But, for our area the storms stayed away for the most part. The strongest storm seen locally came around 6 pm but was not considered to the severe level by the National Weather Service. Our area was also never under a storm watch of any kind on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, we do have a chance of a shower or storm for this afternoon. We will otherwise see clearing skies for today with a high of 74. Then, a chance of a shower for tonight with a low of 50. We will see a high just in the upper 60s on Friday.
